Looking for a quick sewing win today? This reversible fabric headband is one of my favorite “15-minute projects.” It’s very easy, super comfortable, and a great way to use up those beautiful fabric scraps or leftover jelly roll strips.
Whether you need to keep your hair out of your face while you work or you just want a cute accessory to match your outfit, this headband does it all.
And because it’s reversible, you get two looks in one! I’ve put together a guide for six different sizes, so you can make them for yourself or the little ones in your life. Ready to dive in?

How to make the reversible headband
Supplies and tools
- fabric – 2 pieces of woven cotton (one main, one lining)
- 1cm (3/8″) wide piece of elastic
- matching thread
- scissors (or rotary cutter and a cutting mat)
- ruler or measuring tape
- iron and ironing board
- sewing clips or pins
