Easy four patch quilt
This four patch quilt presents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the simple and relaxing quilting process as you cut up colorful squares in different sizes and sew them into a quilt with a 5 x 7 grid of blocks that alternate between solid blocks and blocks with vibrant 2 x 2 grids.
Fat Quarter Four Patch Shortcut Quilt Pattern
Here’s a fun and creative four patch design that looks cheerful and dynamic with its 4 x 5 grid of medium-size squares in different colors and a bunch of white plus marks made of four squares arranged into a plus mark with space in the middle, placed all over the quilt surface.
Farmhouse four patch quilt
The color scheme on the quilt you can make with this pattern is beautiful and positive, just like the quilt itself, with its baby blue frame bordered with thin red frames on the outside and the inside, and the 6 x 7 grid of diamond blocks consisting of four squares in two contrasting colors each.

Here’s one of those beautiful quilt designs that seems extremely complex at first but then you realize how brilliantly simple it is, in this case it’s a quilt with an outer frame made of narrow rectangular strips, and a checkered vibrant grid inside that has large white blocks made of solid white squares and square frames in 2 x 2 grids with small checkered squares in their centers.

There’s a bit of work required for this one because it uses a lot of small squares from different fabrics but the effort will pay off when you see the product, a lovely quilt with an impressive 18 x 18 grid of square in a square quilt blocks in all kinds of colors, but with only two colors in each checkered diamond shape and another color for the block background.

Even though it seems hard, it’s easy and fun, to make this interesting block you just have to sew a 4-patch block, cut out a plus shape from its middle that’s big enough to catch a portion of all four squares, flip the plus shape and put it back in its place so it contrasts the fabrics around it.
